Charlottenburg︎︎︎
Refurbishment of an apartment, 190 sqm.

Period of origin: 2022

Address: Sybelstraße Berlin, DE

Charlottenburg is a residential project in the western part of Berlin.

It reimagines privacy and shared spaces, including a large kitchen and dining area, a living room, and a secluded library. The clients wanted a spacious common area, so the kitchen and dining room were designed as a focal point for daily activities. The former servant’s chamber was turned into a comfortable bathroom, while the bright Erkerzimmer became an office with a custom-built library and storage.

Furniture design

Period of origin: 2024

Address: Carpathians, PL

Helka stool, with its signature form and dovetail joints, references the well-known rural landscape and traditional wooden architecture. Made from thick, solid oak, the stool features characteristic gaps that emphasize its construction details. The wood is sourced from the Carpathian Mountains in Poland, and the stool is crafted by a local master carpenter.
We created this piece to maintain the connection to this special place, preserving the memory of our great-grandmother Helena and traditional building techniques.

stool / bedside table

solid oak, waxed

L 35 / W 23 / H 30 cm

Helka is made to order, please allow 4-6 weeks lead time.

Barska

︎︎︎

Concept design for a yoga studio, 120 sqm.

Period of origin: 2023

Address: Barska Cracow, PL

We developed a concept and led the creative direction for a yoga studio in Cracow, located in the district of Dębniki. The studio is situated in a historic villa built by Roman Bandurski in 1907. When crafting the concept, it was important for us to focus on bringing out the architectural qualities of the space, complementing them with elements that would not compete but harmonize. We aimed to create a design that blends the old with the new, creating a space that allows room for both thought and movement. The rich character of the historic villa was emphasized with colors, materials, and objects that enhance its value.

Furniture design
Period of origin: 2019

Address: Ticino, CH

One time in Ticino, Switzerland we made a bench.

A seater for two, made out of timber leftovers which we have found in a cellar of an old, swiss house. The construction is based on traditional joinery techniques.

To sit, wonder and observe.

Recorded by Michał J. Biel in Ticino, 2021.
